Wine Bottle
In 1990, I created
this as a test of my new computer system and the compatibility of the
software programs that needed to work together. The bottle, wine, polygon
for the label, and foil were created in AutoCAD. I brought the shapes
into Topas (an early 3D software package), created the forms, and gave
them material characteristics. Then I projected the wine
label (created in Lumena) onto the label polygon, and made a 3D photographic
backdrop. The intention was to learn the pitfalls on this model rather
than any client's job. There were a few challenges, but it came together
amazingly well.
